Louisiana is receiving more than $22 million to help rebuild infrastructure after the historic flood.
Last month Representative Mike Johnson testified to the House Appropriations Committee on the importance of making that investment in Louisiana.
Louisiana has about 125,000 miles of natural gas pipeline.
And nationwide, such pipelines cover more miles than paved roads in the United States.
