Washington D.C. – In his first district work week as a congressman, Rep. Mike Johnson (LA-04) and his staff traveled Louisiana's Fourth Congressional District holding more than 85 meetings with constituents, local elected officials and business leaders. Included in these meetings were trips to both Fort Polk and Barksdale Air Force Base, where the congressman was briefed on current issues facing our armed forces and the most pressing threats to our national security.

The document, authored by Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La.), memorializes the members’ agreement to restore collegiality, trust and civility to the Congress, encourage productive dialogue, and work to build consensus and the public's trust in America’s institutions.

Washington D.C. – Today, Congressman Mike Johnson (LA-04) was named one of only three freshmen members to chair a subcommittee in the U.S. House of Representatives. He will serve as Vice Chairman of the Natural Resources Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations and will also sit on the Subcommittee on Water, Power and Oceans.
