U.S. Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) and U.S. Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA-4) this morning visited CSRA’s Integrated Technology Center (ITC) in Bossier City. CSRA’s ITC facility opened in Bossier City in November 2016. CSRA has hired over 600 employees in Northern Louisiana.

The grants will provide federal funding for the Shreveport Regional Airport associated with Shreveport, Louisiana.

The U.S. Transportation Department is handing over two grants totaling $775-thousand.

$520-thousand will be used to build an 800 foot runway extension at Shreveport Regional Airport.

Strengthening the military. That's one of the primary agenda items republicans in Washington are working on, says Louisiana Congressman Mike Johnson.

Johnson held a town hall in Mansfield on Friday. One key item he mentioned is government's effort to beef up the U.S, military.

He says congress approved a hefty increase in military funding, something he says is much needed.
