Johnson Highlights Fort Polk and Barksdale on House Floor, Amendments Prioritizing Military Infrastructure Projects Pass House

On Friday, two amendments introduced by U.S. Representative Mike Johnson (LA-04) urging the military to prioritize critical infrastructure projects like those as Fort Polk Joint Readiness Training Center and Barksdale Air Force Base unanimously passed the House. Johnson took to the House floor to highlight the importance of both Fort Polk and Barksdale.

JOHNSON RELEASED THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT:

“Even in a government as divided as ours, those on both sides of the aisle can agree on the vital role bases like Fort Polk and Barksdale play in maintaining our national security. I am honored to have gained unanimous support for my amendments that will prioritize the critical infrastructure projects our military bases need and deserve. We will continue to advocate for our men and women in uniform here in Congress.”
