Johnson Statement on Schiff Censure Vote

U.S. Representative Mike Johnson (LA-04), a member of the House Judiciary Committee, released the following statement after House Democrats blocked a resolution censuring House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff for concealing his interactions with, and misleading the American public about his interactions with, the whistleblower at the center of the Democrats’ partisan impeachment inquiry:

“We cannot allow Chairman Schiff to continue his charade and ruin the integrity of this institution. His overt partisanship and deceptive behavior have undermined the American people’s trust in the House and its ability to conduct fair and impartial investigations. Schiff ought to be held accountable for his reckless actions, even if the damage he has caused may take many years to repair.”

BACKGROUND
Johnson was an original cosponsor of Representative Andy Biggs’ (AZ-05) resolution to condemn and censure Chairman Schiff.
