On Thursday, February 24, more than 1,600 Bossier Parish students received copies of the framework of America, thanks to the Republican Women of Bossier. Every 5th grader in the parish received a personal copy of the U.S. Constitution in booklet format that also includes the Declaration of Independence. The effort was in partnership with the Republican Women of Bossier, Congressman Mike Johnson and the Heritage Foundation. Students will be able to utilize the booklets in their social studies unit on the U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence.

Written and signed in 1787, the Constitution has withstood the test of time and remains the framework of America’s national government and fundamental laws.
