Johnson Advocates for Defense Community Projects

Washington, May 9, 2024 – United States Representative Mike Johnson (LA-04) submitted a community project funding request for Barksdale Air Force Base: Recipient: Barksdale Air Force Base Recipient Address: 147 Barksdale Blvd E, Barksdale AFB, LA, United States 71110 Requested Amount: $22 million Explanation of Request: This request will fund the construction of a new ADAL Child Development Center (CDC) at Barksdale Air Force Base in FY2025. The funding would be used to construct a thirteen-room addition to the existing CDC. The existing CDC is inadequate in size, in poor physical condition, and limits childcare services at Barksdale AFB. This project will allow a major step forward in reducing the overcrowding of the CDC and improving the environment for dependent children and their families. |
