Once Again, House Democrats Vote to Allow Noncitizens to Decide American Elections

WASHINGTON — Following House passage of the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, Speaker Johnson released a statement highlighting the 208 House Democrats who voted against preventing noncitizens from participating in American elections. “Only American citizens should vote in American elections. The SAVE Act will ensure this commonsense law is followed by requiring proof of citizenship for all new voter registrations,” Speaker Johnson said. “While 208 Democrats demonstrated that they believe non-American citizens should vote in federal elections, House Republicans stood united with the millions of legal American voters who want their voices heard – and protected – at the ballot box.” ### |
