ICYMI: Speaker Johnson Discusses the One Big Beautiful Bill Across Louisiana’s Fourth Congressional District

WASHINGTON — On Wednesday, July 30th, Speaker Johnson traveled throughout Louisiana’s Fourth Congressional District to meet with his constituents, local leaders, Louisiana farmers, and business owners. At each event, Speaker Johnson discussed how the One Big Beautiful Bill puts America back on the path of strength and prosperity, and he answered questions from the crowd and discussed how this historic legislation will positively impact Louisiana families.

“The big beautiful bill has so many important pieces that are going to help our state so much. Not only did we secure the border, which is a big thing to the people in this state, but also, we're returning to American energy dominance,” Speaker Johnson said at a press conference in Monroe. “If we had not passed the One Big Beautiful Bill, Louisiana residents would have had the largest tax increase in U.S. history automatically at the end of the year when the tax cuts expired. We made those permanent, and we added a ton of pro-growth policies on top of that. It's estimated that the average Louisiana family is going to have $10,600 more in take-home pay.”

Speaker Johnson also joined The Mike & McCarty Show and Echols at 8 live to discuss the One Big Beautiful Bill. Additionally, during an event in Bossier City, Speaker Johnson joined The Lead with Jake Tapper on CNN live with his constituents.
