The United States-Israel Joint Drone Detection Cooperation Act introduced by U.S. Reps. Mike Johnson (R-LA) and Charlie Crist (D-FL) was included in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), major legislation directing the United States' national security priorities, which is expected to be considered by the House next week. The Johnson, Crist proposal establishes a strategic partnership between the United States and Israel to combat drone attacks from Iran and other adversaries. Rep. Mike Johnson released the following statement:
"To see our bipartisan proposal continue to receive broad support and swiftly move through Congress speaks to the urgent need to address the growing threat of drone attacks to U.S. and Israeli security. This new partnership will further our vital alliance on defense and foreign policy strategy, greatly benefiting both our countries and keeping our people safe. |
