Louisiana’s Fourth District Receives Nearly $300,000 for Local Airports

The U.S. Department of Transportation today announced the Shreveport Airport Authority and the Beauregard Parish Airport will receive grants totaling $292,712. These grants will provide federal funding for airport improvements. Shreveport Air Authority will receive $150,000 to fund the design for a 800 foot runway extension. The Beauregard Parish Airport will receive $142,712 to rehabilitate 62,500 square yards of the existing apron that will aim to maintain the structural integrity of the pavement. Rep. Johnson released the following statement: “The continued advancements in our great state should be encouraging to all Louisianans. Our best days are before us, and I will continue to fight for federal investments throughout our local communities while in Washington.” |
