U.S. Representative Mike Johnson (LA-04) today applauded the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) decision to award two grants, totaling more than $500,000, to the Shreveport Airport Authority. According to DOT, the funds will be used for security enhancements and taxiway repairs at Shreveport Regional Airport. “Shreveport Regional Airport is a driving economic force for north Louisiana and the surrounding area,” said Johnson. “As one of the most popular airports in the state, it helps transport hundreds of thousands of passengers a year, producing a vast amount of jobs and income. We are eager to keep this success going and are thankful for DOT’s investment in that endeavor.” |
