Bossier City, La. – U.S. Representative Mike Johnson (LA-04) today announced that the Shreveport Regional Airport is receiving three grants totaling over $2.4 million from the Department of Transportation (DOT). These grants will fund improvements to rehabilitate taxiways, complete a noise study program, and enhance the airport’s security. “Making substantial investments to local transportation hubs like the Shreveport Regional Airport is a wise investment of taxpayer dollars. This federal funding will go a long way in improving the airport’s taxiways and, most importantly, travelers’ safety. I thank President Trump and Secretary Chao for prioritizing safety and improvements in our airports, particularly those in rural areas and small to mid-size cities,” said Johnson. |
