WASHINGTON — United States Representative Mike Johnson (LA-04) submitted a community project authorizing request for Barksdale Air Force Base: Barksdale Air Force Base — New Entrance Road and Gate Complex Recipient: Department of the Air Force Recipient Address: 1690 Air Force Pentagon, Washington, DC 20330 Requested Amount: $36 million Explanation of Request: This project will dramatically increase safety and efficiency of movement into and out of the East side of Barksdale Air Force Base. It is a fully authorized project that will connect to a nearly-completed I-220 interchange and provide an additional entrance to the installation that is not encumbered by existing railroad and traffic constraints. Congressman Johnson serves on the House Armed Services Committee and his congressional district includes Barksdale Air Force Base. ### |
