Johnson Statement on House Vote to Send Impeachment Articles to the Senate

Washington, DC, January 15, 2020

 U.S. Representative Mike Johnson (LA-04) released the following statement after the House voted to send the articles of impeachment to the Senate, ending a month-long delay:

“This was a meaningless vote, and the only good news is that Speaker Pelosi is now powerless to further corrupt the sham impeachment process. Her loss is a win for the nation. We look forward now to a fair trial and a full acquittal in the Senate.”
