Johnson Announces nearly $550,000 for Desoto Parish Airport

WASHINGTON, May 14, 2021 — United States Representative Mike Johnson (LA-04) today announced that the DeSoto Parish Police Jury will receive $550,000 to rehabilitate and maintain 12,700 sq. yards of pavement at the CE ‘Rusty’ Williams Airport.

“This is wonderful news for DeSoto Parish,” Johnson said. “This award will directly contribute to modernization efforts and keep the airport running safely.”

Background: This grant will provide federal funding for the CE ‘Rusty’ Williams Airport to maintain the structural integrity of 12,700 sq. yards of pavement on the existing north apron.
